Ken Hammer became interested in photography as a teenager when a friend gave him a professional 35MM camera as a gift. He soon set up a darkroom in his house, where he spent countless hours developing and printing his own photos.

Although the equipment has changed, Ken’s passion for his craft hasn’t. Today he spends more time at a computer instead of in a darkroom, but he’s just as meticulous and detail oriented.

Ken attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a BA in Journalism. He worked for an advertising agency in New York, then moved to Southern California where he currently works in the motion picture industry.

He studied Photography at UCLA, Santa Monica College and Art Center College of Design.

“I like to tell a story with my images” Ken says. “I enjoy exploring new places, and documenting what I see.” Most of his favorite images are candids, where the subjects are natural. 

Ken has photographed events, people, places, and animals. His goal is to combine both his technical and artistic skills to produce images that his clients will want to keep for a lifetime.
